2007, 206 pages, 800+ photos (most in color). Presents a fully illustrated key to allow the easy identification of eastern U.S. Cerambycidae. Of the 400 species that occur east of the Rocky Mountains (excluding southern and western Texas), 377 species are treated. Nine invasive species known or suspected to be established in the region are also included.
The key includes 417 couplets arranged such that most taxa key out in less than 20 couplets and 10 minutes. It uses only easily seen external characters, and does not require dissection or both sexes of a species to be available. Unless otherwise specified, all nomenclature follows the 2006 Checklist of the Cerambycidae of the Western Hemisphere by Monné and Hovore. Plastic spiral binding; 7-3/4 x 10".
