BioQuip manufactures a practical and inexpensive aerial net for students and young (and not so young) collectors. The 18” (46 cm) smooth maple handle is 3/4” (2 cm) in diameter). The net ring is sturdy galvanized steel, and is attached to the handle with an aluminum alloy ferrule. After assembly, the lower screw on the handle can be moved up to the pre-drilled hole beneath the ferrule to keep the ferrule from sliding down. The net bag is 12” (30 cm) in diameter, made of polyester netting with a muslin reinforcing band around the top. The netting is the same high quality material used in BioQuip’s Standard and Professional nets.
