An aquatic drift net is used to monitor and collect organisms from streams. It features a welded stainless steel frame fitted with a one meter (39.4") long collecting bag. The Nytex bag is available in three mesh sizes, and is fitted with a sewn-in 8 oz. polyethylene collection bottle and cap at the tip to facilitate removal of specimens. The 30.5 cm (12") square opening of the net may be staked into the substrate allowing the net to be unattended. The drift net can also be tethered to a stream bank to prevent accidental loss.
