2012, 193 pages, color photos, maps. All Colorado species and subspecies of swallowtails, sulphurs, and whites are discussed and beautifully illustrated on 49 color photograph pages, each with 4 or more images showing upper and undersides of 39 recorded species and forms and 2 dubious species from the State. Each speciesí variation within Colorado, and outside the state, where relevant, is discussed and the problems of name application, species definition, and type localities are also presented.

A distribution map is provided for each species. There are six pages of county distribution maps, two pages with U.S. distribution maps, and one state map with county names for reference.

The work includes overviews of the Orangetips Anthocharis thoosa and julia; the Old World Swallowtail, Papilio machaon and discussion supporting revised status of names within Papilio multicaudata.  One new subspecies is defined from western Colorado and four new forms.

This is a completely new book, but the author makes comparisons with Brown et al.ís original book on Colorado Butterflies, pointing out corrections, additions, and emendations. Soft cover; 8-1/2 x 11".
