The box is carefully constructed of basswood sides and birch plywood top and bottom. The exterior is protected with spray finish coats of sealer and clear acrylic gloss. Interior top and bottom are lined with thick, soft urethane foam to provide complete cushioning for light(s). The removable lid has two brass plated hinges with slip pins, and fastens securely with a brass plated snap latch. A comfortable leather handle is installed on one side for convenient carrying.
