Black light (ultra violet) collecting lights attract many night flying insects, providing maximum insect response from the UV spectrum. This compact 20 watt, 110 volt, AC current, self-ballasted fluorescent black light bulb can be used in any standard/medium base lamp socket. The small size makes it ideal for travel, for use with a variety of insect traps, or when using a collecting sheet. Perhaps you can put it into your porch light fixture and see what unusual insects arrive. The bulb emits 350 nanometers of UV light, the same as our 2807A 15 watt BL bulb, a frequency which attracts many insects. Caution should be taken when operating the bulb in wet or rainy conditions. Size: 1-3/4” (4.45 cm) in diameter and 6-1/2” (16.51 cm) long. Weight is 3 oz., (85 grams).
