Specimens or containers are placed inside the cage through the top-opening door, then accessed through three sleeves on the front of the cage. The third sleeve allows the user to work inside the cage with both hands while still leaving access for a second person to work inside the cage at the same time.

Cages consist of aluminum frames with high-visibility, white nylon no-see-um mesh screening, and a clear vinyl observation window in the upper half of the front of the cage.

It is 24 x 36 x 24" (61 x 91.5 x 61cm) with three no-see-um mesh access sleeves, and a top opening door hinged in the back and secured with two draw latches.
