Side-opening glassine envelopes are preferred by many collectors because the V-shaped flaps can be opened in the field with one hand. They have seams folded outside to protect contents and are made of 20 lb. glassine for maximum protection and humidity resistance. They are pH balanced, acid-free, lignin-free, and un-buffered. Smooth-edged flaps are folded down and are not gummed. Envelopes are packed in lots of 100. A limited number of 1131A envelopes are available only.
