BOOK REPLACEMENT NOTICE
To those who purchased
An Introduction to the Aquatic Insects of North
America,
fourth edition, 2007, Catalog #9059D
from BioQuip Products
Shortly after the release of
the fourth edition of An Introduction to the Aquatic Insects of North
America in August 2007, editors R. W. Merritt, K. W. Cummins and M. B.
Berg found and were informed of numerous errors in the publication. The
majority of errors can be attributed to the publisher although there
were some author errors. Rather than provide a lengthy and cumbersome
errata to accompany the book, the editors asked the publisher to reprint
the edition after correcting the mistakes. The publisher agreed to
reprint the book and release of the reprinted edition is expected mid to
late March.
If you purchased one or more copies of the fourth edition from BioQuip,
please call the publisher Kendall/Hunt at 1-800-228-0810 and ask for
Customer Service. Kendall/Hunt will issue an ARS label for returning the
defective book(s) at their expense. The reprint edition will be shipped
to you at no charge after the defective book(s) have been received by
Kendall/Hunt. |

The publisher has explained that the reason for returning copies of the
original printing is to keep individuals from selling them on eBay or
used book internet sites.
The procedure outlined above must be followed in order for you to obtain
a replacement book(s) at no expense. Do not ship defective copies to
BioQuip. We regret any inconvenience caused in this process but believe
you will agree that the reprinted edition is far superior to the
original printing. |
